More Geo-Pics of the Day – Lago de Nicaragua
December 14, 2011 in Fieldwork
It has been brought to my attention that one of the geo-pics of the day I posted yesterday (Georneys challenge) was actually from an earlier post. That either makes me a big cheater or just someone with a new baby whose mind is a little scattered (mine, not the baby’s). Nevertheless, I shall make things right by posting two additional pictures today, which brings me up to date. I encourage all you geobloggers out there to do the same, because I think all geologists are photographers at heart. Enjoy.

Volcan Concepción, Isla de Ometepe, Lake Nicaragua with orogenic cloud. There's probably some ash in there, since we woke up covered in it. They almost evacuated the island, but that's a story for another time.

On the shores of Lake Nicaragua. Who wants to swim with sharks?
More tomorrow…
