What? There’s a Geysir called Geysir! Thursday Geo-picture
December 15, 2011 in Fieldwork
Yes. As in, the original geysir, which just happens to be located in Iceland. Unfortunately, the eponymous Geysir no longer geyses (verb form of geysir). For a time, the Icelandic government would goose it a little by adding bubbly soap to impress foreign dignitaries. No more. Now, the once proud Geysir sits idle, while it’s neighbor, Strokkur (below), puts on a show.

The one and only, the original, Geysir.

Now that Geysir has called it quits, Strokkur is left to entertain the crowds.
More tomorrow…
“Unfortunately, the eponymous Geysir no longer geyses (verb form of geysir).”
Perhaps it’s simply in dis-geyse.
